Who Should Attend

This educational activity is specifically designed for community oncologists, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, surgical oncologists, pathologists, hospitalists, internal medicine specialists, and other healthcare professionals (physicians, physicians-in-training, oncology nurses, pharmacists, physicians' assistants, etc.) involved and/or interested in the therapeutic management of patients with breast cancer.

Objectives

After successful completion of this course, participants should be able to:

  • Review new data from recent and upcoming breast cancer meetings, including the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium and the European Breast Cancer Conference, and discuss their potential impact on clinical practice
  • Optimize treatment for different subtypes of breast cancer, including luminal, HER2 amplified, and triple negative
  • Formulate treatment strategies for breast cancer that maximize patient outcomes while preserving quality of life
  • Evaluate evidence on both sides of recent controversies in breast cancer management, such as use of bisphosphonates to prevent cancer, and whether chemotherapy should be recommend to all patients with ER-positive disease
