Targeted Audience
This educational activity is specifically designed for hematologists, oncologists, internists and other physicians, physicians-in-training, and healthcare professionals (nurses and pharmacists) involved in and/or interested in lymphoma, myeloma, and related plasma cell disorders and their management.

Webcast Overview
This Webcast was taken directly from a satellite symposium held at the annual Lymphoma & Myeloma meeting on October 20, 2007 in New York City. The moderator, Ruben Niesvizky, MD, is joined by renowned experts in the field of hematology and hematologic malignancies. Novel management strategies for the treatment of multiple myeloma and non-Hodgkin lymphoma are highlighted with an emphasis on emerging agents and research initiatives.

Educational Objectives
After completing this activity, the participant will be able to:

  1. Discuss the utilization of proteasome inhibitors and immunomodulators to optimally manage patients with multiple myeloma
  2. Describe and distinguish novel therapeutic regimens which are clinically beneficial to patients with follicular non-Hodgkin lymphoma
  3. Discuss novel therapeutic strategies and their incorporation in clinical practice for the treatment of patients with mantle cell lymphoma
