Targeted Audience
This educational activity is specifically designed for hematologists, oncologists, internists and other physicians, physicians-in-training, and healthcare professionals (nurses, pharmacists) involved in and/or interested in lymphoma related plasma cell disorders and their management.

Overview
This Webcast is taken from the live symposium held at the October 2007 Lymphoma and Myeloma meeting in New York, New York. The thought-provoking discussions pertaining to anti-CD20 therapy in B-cell lymphoma include a review of the mechanisms of action, strengths, and weaknesses of currently approved agents, as well as a description of novel anti-CD20 therapies in the testing phase. The chairman of the meeting, Dr John Leonard, is also the moderator.

Objectives
After viewing this activity, the participant will be able to:

  1. Describe the biology of anti-CD20 antibodies and their mechanisms of action and resistance
  2. Examine and compare the benefits of the current standard therapies available for CD20-positive
    B-cell lymphomas
  3. Summarize and discuss the emerging anti-CD20 antibodies for B-cell lymphoma
