COURSE DESCRIPTION
Target Audience
This activity is aimed at physicians,
infectious disease specialists, surgeons,
and other health professionals involved
and/or interested in the management
of invasive fungal infections within
immunosuppressed populations. No special
skills other than basic knowledge
of microbiology and general internal
medicine are required for successful
participation in this activity
Educational Objectives
After successfully completing this
continuing medical education program
participants should be able to:
- Understand diagnostic challenges
in invasive fungal infections
- Incorporate updated efficacy
and safety data on novel antifungal
agents into current management practices
- Optimally manage prophylaxis in
immunocompromised patients at high
risk for invasive fungal infections
